Al-Farooq Masjid, established in 1980 in Atlanta's Home Park neighborhood near the Georgia Tech campus, was the first majority-immigrant mosque in the city and grew into one of the largest mosques in the southeastern United States. Its current building, completed in 2008, accommodates approximately 5,000 worshippers. The masjid operates the Dar-ul-Uloom Islamic education program, a New Muslim support program, and seasonal youth camps alongside daily prayers.
