About

The Albanian Islamic Cultural Center, on Staten Island, New York, traces its roots to a 1973 Islamic center that was reorganized and renamed under its current name in 1990; it serves the Albanian-American Muslim community of Staten Island and the surrounding New York City area. With more than 15,000 square feet of prayer space, it is among the larger mosques in the region and opened an Islamic school in 1999 offering full-time and weekend education. The center regularly hosts Eid celebrations, weddings, and funeral receptions for Albanian Muslim families from Staten Island, Brooklyn, and northern New Jersey.
