The American Ethical Union (AEU) is the national federation of Ethical Culture and Ethical Humanist societies in the United States, founded in 1889 by Felix Adler. Member societies hold Sunday platform addresses and community programs centered on ethical living rather than theological doctrine. The AEU's offices are co-located with the New York Society for Ethical Culture.
