The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is a Holiness-Pentecostal Christian denomination and the largest historically African American Pentecostal body in the United States. Founded by Bishop Charles Harrison Mason in 1897, it is headquartered at the Mason Temple in Memphis, Tennessee. COGIC holds an annual Holy Convocation and oversees jurisdictions and departments across the United States and internationally.
