The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the largest denomination of the Latter Day Saint movement, founded by Joseph Smith in 1830. Its world headquarters occupies the Church Office Building in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, adjacent to Temple Square. The church is led by a First Presidency and a Quorum of Twelve Apostles and reports tens of millions of members worldwide.
