About

The George Washington Masonic National Memorial is a Masonic memorial and museum in Alexandria, Virginia, dedicated to George Washington, the first U.S. President and a Freemason who served as the first Worshipful Master of Alexandria Lodge No. 22. Completed in 1932 and funded by contributions from Masonic lodges nationwide, its tower is modeled on the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, Egypt. The memorial houses Washington's Masonic memorabilia alongside broader exhibits on Masonic history and hosts public tours.
