About

The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania is the governing body of Pennsylvania Freemasonry, tracing its organized origins to 1731. Its headquarters, the Masonic Temple, is a National Historic Landmark directly across from Philadelphia City Hall, built between 1868 and 1873, containing seven ornately decorated lodge halls and the Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania. The building remains an active meeting place for Philadelphia-area lodges as well as the Grand Lodge itself.
