The Islamic Center of Irvine (ICOI) was founded by the Muslims of Irvine, California, on August 28, 2004, and has grown into one of the largest Muslim congregations in Orange County, drawing an estimated 2,500 worshippers to its weekly programs. It offers youth programs, an annual summer camp, senior workshops, and interfaith sports activities alongside daily prayers, and maintains a library and reference service on Islam. ICOI describes its mission as supporting the spiritual, moral, and intellectual development of its patrons while promoting a positive image of Muslims through community engagement.
