About

Park Street Church is an evangelical congregation in downtown Boston founded in 1809 at the corner of Park and Tremont Streets, overlooking Boston Common. Historically nicknamed "Brimstone Corner," it is a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference rather than the United Church of Christ. The church's 217-foot steeple was the tallest structure in the United States from 1810 to 1828, and the building is a stop on Boston's Freedom Trail.
