Saint Patrick's Cathedral is the national cathedral of the Church of Ireland, founded in 1191 beside a well long associated with Patrick. Jonathan Swift was dean here from 1713 until his death in 1745 and is buried in the nave. The cathedral keeps daily choral services and is open to visitors for most of the day.
