St. Olaf College is a liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, founded in 1874 by Norwegian Lutheran immigrants in Northfield, Minnesota. The college describes its mission as nourished by the Lutheran tradition of examining faith and values within an inclusive community, and it is known nationally for its choral and instrumental music program.
