The World Fellowship of Buddhists was founded at Colombo in 1950 and brings together Buddhist organizations of the Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions. Its headquarters stand beside Benjasiri Park in Bangkok, and its general conference is hosted in turn by member centres in different countries.
