Charubel's 1898 sequence, unconnected to the later Sabian material, records a man with open breast, showing enlarged heart overflowing with blood. Counting from Aquarius's start, this is the twenty ninth degree, placing it in the sign's third decan. Its decan is ruled by Moon rather than Saturn, which colors the degree with something Aquarius does not supply on its own. The narrower term division belongs to Saturn, a still finer layer of rulership laid across the sign and decan. Every degree in this set, including this one, comes from a single 1925 sitting: Marc Edmund Jones and the clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler, in Balboa Park, San Diego, drawing 360 blank cards in random order. Jones's book appeared in 1953, but it is Dane Rudhyar's 1973 reinterpretation, An Astrological Mandala, that is generally quoted today, and its copyrighted wording is withheld from this page. Aquarius is fixed air, a stubborn commitment to an idea or a group rather than to a single feeling. The point of tracking a degree this closely is not to predict an event but to place it exactly within Aquarius's span. Element and quality carry through every degree of Aquarius: it is a fixed air sign, and this degree inherits that basic temperament even as the decan and term add their own note.Cross-Tradition ConnectionsArticle OnAquarius 29, Sabian Symbols Well-attested Source Divinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1SourcesDivinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1Comments (0)No comments yet.
