Charubel's 1898 degree symbols, compiled well before Balboa Park, give this degree a dissecting room, where are a number of medical men engaged in a post-mortem examination. Counting from Sagittarius's start, this is the twenty ninth degree, placing it in the sign's third decan. No decan or term ruler is recorded for this particular degree among its listed facts, so the reading here rests on the sign and the image alone rather than on a claimed planetary layer. Every degree in this set, including this one, comes from a single 1925 sitting: Marc Edmund Jones and the clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler, in Balboa Park, San Diego, drawing 360 blank cards in random order. Jones's book appeared in 1953, but it is Dane Rudhyar's 1973 reinterpretation, An Astrological Mandala, that is generally quoted today, and its copyrighted wording is withheld from this page. Sagittarius is mutable fire, restless conviction that wants a horizon rather than a wall. The point of tracking a degree this closely is not to predict an event but to place it exactly within Sagittarius's span. Element and quality carry through every degree of Sagittarius: it is a mutable fire sign, and this degree inherits that basic temperament even as the decan and term add their own note.Cross-Tradition ConnectionsArticle OnSagittarius 29, Sabian Symbols Well-attested Source Divinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1SourcesDivinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1Comments (0)No comments yet.
