Widening an Angel Catalogue to Include the Dead

Angels and Ancestors Oracle Cards is a fifty five card deck Kyle Gray created with artwork by Lily Moses, published by Hay House in 2018 as a later entry in his angel themed oracle catalogue. Structurally it widens what the catalogue addresses: rather than confining its guidance to angelic sources, the deck frames part of its messages as coming from deceased loved ones and other ancestral figures, paired with the angelic material that defined Gray's earlier decks such as Angel Prayers. At fifty five cards it is larger than that first deck, though it keeps the same upright only reading convention that runs through Gray's work with the same publisher.

Pairing angel and ancestor themes in one deck is a structural choice rather than a claim about one closed tradition, since angel veneration and ancestor reverence both appear in varying forms across many belief systems rather than a single documented lineage. The deck's own guidebook material presents its ancestral messages in the same register as its angelic material, personal spiritual guidance rather than a reconstruction of any specific ancestral practice. Lily Moses's artwork also illustrates Gray's later Keepers of the Light Oracle Cards, giving the two decks a shared visual family within his wider catalogue even though their thematic focus, ancestors and the dead against historical keepers of wisdom, differs.
