His book appeared in 1953. What most readers now quote, however, is Dane Rudhyar's 1973 reinterpretation from An Astrological Mandala, a text still protected by copyright and therefore not reproduced on this page. It falls in the second decan of Sagittarius (degrees 11 to 20), and is Sagittarius's eighteenth degree. No decan or term ruler is recorded for this particular degree among its listed facts, so the reading here rests on the sign and the image alone rather than on a claimed planetary layer. Before Jones and Wheeler ever met, the Welsh astrologer Charubel had already published a complete set of 360 degree images in 1898. For this degree, his book pictures a ploughman engaged in the act of ploughing. Sagittarius is mutable fire, restless conviction that wants a horizon rather than a wall. Read this way, the degree is less a fortune than a location: a specific point in Sagittarius's arc, with its own decan and term layered on top. Element and quality carry through every degree of Sagittarius: it is a mutable fire sign, and this degree inherits that basic temperament even as the decan and term add their own note.Cross-Tradition ConnectionsArticle OnSagittarius 18, Sabian Symbols Well-attested Source Divinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1SourcesDivinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1Comments (0)No comments yet.
