Two More Crowdfunded Decks After The Light Seer's Tarot

This article records tradition as it has been passed down and reported. Its sources are not yet part of the atlas's verified catalogue.

The Light Seer's Tarot's path from Kickstarter to a Hay House bestseller is Chris-Anne's best known story, but she repeated the independent crowdfunding model rather than moving straight into working through an established publisher afterward. The Muse Tarot and The Sacred Creators Oracle were both independently crowdfunded in the same way as her first deck, showing the Kickstarter route was a deliberate, repeatable working method for her rather than a one time path to attention that led her toward conventional publishing on her second project.

She also wrote Tarot for Light Seers, a companion guidebook to her original deck's expressive, boho influenced imagery, extending The Light Seer's Tarot from a card set alone into a paired teaching text, the same instructional pairing more established tarot authors build around a single flagship deck. Since its December 2019 Hay House release, The Light Seer's Tarot alone has shipped close to a quarter million copies, a sales figure that sets the scale of the audience the newer, independently funded decks are reaching for.

Taken together, three independently funded card projects and a companion guidebook describe a working method built on crowdfunding readers directly rather than one Kickstarter success followed by conventional commissioned publishing, a pattern that sets Chris-Anne apart from illustrators who move from a first indie hit into working chiefly through an established house afterward.
