Seven Kings for Seven Days

De Heptarchia Mystica sets out an angelic government organized around the seven day week, assigning to each day a King and a Prince, each in turn attended by subordinate officers and troops arranged beneath them, a full court structure repeated seven times over rather than a single hierarchy shared across the week. Dee records names, sigils and specific instructions for invoking each of these figures, treating the material as a working reference for structured angelic communication tied to particular days rather than as narrative or doctrinal writing.

This sevenfold structure sits alongside, but is organizationally distinct from, the Great Table of the Watchtowers and its ninety one governors already recorded in this atlas, and from the thirty Aethyrs the Claves Angelicae address. Where the Great Table organizes the elemental world into four quadrants and the Aethyrs organize spiritual ascent into thirty graded regions, the Heptarchia Royal organizes angelic government temporally, by day of the week, giving Dee's wider Enochian project at least three genuinely different organizing principles operating side by side rather than one unified scheme applied consistently throughout.

Each King and Prince pairing is given its own sigil, a geometric seal Dee describes constructing according to rules tied to the figure's name and rank, alongside instructions for the specific times and dispositions under which a working directed at that day's pair was considered most likely to succeed, a level of procedural detail closer to the Arbatel's planetary Olympic Spirits than to the sparer name-and-territory format the Great Table's ninety one governors receive elsewhere in Dee's corpus.
