The filing states this funded the Network's stated purpose of advancing the Jain religion and its communities in India and the UK through education and training and through the relief of poverty, sickness and distress.
The gap between income and expenditure in a single filed year is not unusual for a charity holding reserves or capital assets such as the Jain Centre London, acquired in 2010; the filing itself does not break down how the surplus was allocated beyond its stated charitable purposes.
