From Crowdfunding to a Hay House Trade Edition

Light Seer's Tarot is a seventy eight card deck created and illustrated by Chris-Anne, first successfully crowdfunded independently before Hay House issued an official trade edition with guidebook in 2019. It keeps the traditional Major and Minor Arcana structure and the Golden Dawn and Rider Waite Smith trump order, Strength at eight and Justice at eleven, while presenting every card through a soft, luminous, warmly coloured figurative style aimed specifically at readers newer to tarot who find the historical deck's darker imagery difficult to approach.

Moving from an independently funded edition to a major publisher's trade release is a path Light Seer's Tarot shares with few other decks in this catalogue, most of which were commissioned directly by a publisher or self published without a later commercial edition. Chris-Anne went on to create a second deck for Hay House, The Muse Tarot, which renames its four suits Emotions, Inspiration, Voices and Materials and addresses itself explicitly to writers, artists and other creative practitioners, a narrower audience than Light Seer's Tarot's broader appeal, though both decks share the same soft, painterly visual approach and the standard seventy eight card count.
