Pagan Funded, but Not Pagans Only

PaganAid registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 31 July 2014. It is funded entirely by donations from Pagans and run entirely by volunteer trustees, none of whom receives any remuneration, payment or benefit from the charity, a governance structure the charity states plainly of itself rather than one this entry infers.

What PaganAid does with that funding sets it apart from a charity serving its own community exclusively. It gives grants to other trusted organisations working on poverty relief and environmental protection in disadvantaged communities, helping people protect and develop their own livelihoods and their local environment. Though Pagan run and Pagan funded, PaganAid states plainly that the beneficiaries of the projects it funds can be of any faith or none, so long as they want to live in harmony with nature.

That stated scope makes PaganAid an explicitly pan-Pagan charity in its giving rather than one that funds only Pagan beneficiaries, a distinction the charity draws deliberately in its own published description of its mission.
