As with every degree in this sequence, the interpretation most people encounter is Dane Rudhyar's own 1973 recasting in An Astrological Mandala, not the shorter original notes Marc Edmund Jones set down from Elsie Wheeler's 1925 vision, and this atlas follows that same general provenance without quoting Rudhyar's actual sentences. Physical strength and mental strength are being treated here as two states of the same underlying force, one maturing into the other rather than one simply being lost as the other appears. That fits neatly within Gemini's own preoccupations, since the sign is chiefly concerned with how raw experience becomes formulated knowledge, transferable to someone else. The degree falls in the sign's second decan, ruled by Mars, whose vigor is exactly what is shown being redirected here, and in Venus's term, which runs through the seventeenth degree, Venus's grace softening what could otherwise read as mere loss into something closer to gain.Cross-Tradition ConnectionsArticle OnGemini 17, Sabian Symbols Well-attested Source Divinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1SourcesDivinity Atlas Long-Form Articles, First Editiontier 1Comments (0)No comments yet.
