Zarzilg is one of the twelve Zodiacal Kings of Liber Scientiae, Auxilii et Victoriae Terrestris, the tabulation John Dee drew from his angelic sessions with Edward Kelley in 1584 and 1585. Beside the thirty Aethyrs and their ninety-one Governors, the manuscript names twelve Kings, one to a tribe of Israel, and shares the ninety-one Parts of the Earth among them. Zarzilg governs the tribe of Naphtali and holds eight Parts.
Zarzilg's Parts open with Occodon, the very first of the ninety-one, placed in LIL, the outermost Aethyr, and assigned to Egypt. The rest follow across the record: Samapha, opening ZOM, the third Aethyr, assigned to Hyrcania on the Caspian; Pristac, completing ZID, the eighth; Doanzin, completing ZIP, the ninth, assigned to Lydia; Tabitom, completing ZAX, the tenth; Tahamdo, opening OXO, the fifteenth; Tocarzi, completing TAN, the seventeenth, assigned to Nasamoma, the country of the Nasamones; and Poclsni, in BAG, the twenty-eighth, assigned to Felix Arabia, the fertile part of the Arabian peninsula.
The zodiac sign attached to Zarzilg today, like every King's, is a reconstruction built on the tribe rather than anything the angelic sessions record directly, and rival reconstructions disagree with one another. Zarzilg has no connection to the seven Kings of the Heptarchia, a distinct weekday system from the same Dee and Kelley material, recorded separately in De Heptarchia Mystica.
