Central Synagogue is a Reform Jewish congregation in Midtown Manhattan, founded in 1846 as Congregation Ahawath Chesed and renamed Central Synagogue in 1918. Its 1872 Moorish Revival sanctuary is a National Historic Landmark and has been in continuous congregational use longer than any other synagogue building in New York State. The congregation is widely known for livestreaming its services to a broad audience beyond its membership.
