Christ Church Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri, standing in downtown St. Louis. Built between 1859 and 1867 to a design by architect Leopold Eidlitz, it is one of his few well-preserved surviving works and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994. The cathedral, now in its third century, holds regular Sunday Eucharist and daily prayer services.
