Det Jødiske Samfund i Danmark is the main Jewish community body of the country, with its offices and the Great Synagogue on Krystalgade in central Copenhagen. The synagogue was consecrated in 1833 and follows Orthodox practice, and the community runs a school, a burial society and a care home.
