About

The Temple, formally the Hebrew Benevolent Congregation, is a Reform Jewish congregation in Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 1867 and the city's oldest synagogue. It is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism and was the target of a 1958 bombing during the civil rights era, an event now central to its public history and interfaith work.
