Bhai Kanhaiya was a Sikh disciple of Guru Tegh Bahadur, requested by Guru Gobind Singh to establish the Sewapanthi or Addanshahi order of the Sikhs. He was known for pouring water for all the wounded on the battlefield regardless of whether they were Sikhs or fighting against the Sikhs.
