Raymond Buckland, whose craft name was Robat, was an English writer on Wicca and the occult and a significant figure in the history of Wicca, serving as a high priest in both the Gardnerian and Seax-Wica traditions. He introduced the lineage of Gardnerian Wicca to the United States in 1964 after his own initiation by Gerald Gardner's high priestess Monique Wilson, and later founded his own tradition, Seax-Wica, drawing on the symbolism of Anglo-Saxon paganism.
