Origin from 1970
The Witches International Craft Associates (WICA) was founded in 1970 by Leo Martello as a networking organization for Wiccans. Under its auspices, Martello organized a "Witch In" in Central Park at Halloween 1970, despite opposition from the New York City Parks Department.
