A folio painted in opaque watercolor with gold, silver and beetle-wing cases simulating emeralds, India, Basohli, Jammu, circa 1700 to 1710, showing Kalki, the future incarnation of Vishnu, in the guise of a warrior with a white horse. The Metropolitan Museum's own title names Kalki directly. Held today by the Metropolitan Museum of Art under accession 1991.32.1, gift of Cynthia Hazen Polsky, 1991.
