Surya stands holding a full blown lotus in each hand, riding a chariot drawn by seven galloping horses and driven by his charioteer Aruna, flanked by the attendants Danda and Pingala and his consorts Chhaya and Suvarchasa, the whole composition set beneath a decorative arch.
