The Kogo Shui (Gleanings from Ancient Stories) is a short Shinto historical and mythological text compiled in 807 CE by the courtier Inbe no Hironari, written explicitly to record traditions of the Inbe priestly clan that the earlier Kojiki and Nihon Shoki had passed over, and valued by later scholars as a supplementary witness to material outside the two great foundational chronicles.
