A Sanctuary, or so fair a House? Reflections on the sacred and the domestic, Jens Notroff's 2017 post on Tepe Telegrams, the German Archaeological Institute's own excavation blog, reflects on whether Gobekli Tepe's structures should be read as sacred or domestic space. Its strength is that it comes directly from the excavating institute conducting the fieldwork. Its limit is that it is a preliminary field reflection on an ongoing excavation blog, not a peer reviewed publication, so its interpretations may be revised as excavation continues.
