A culture magazine feature built from interviews with named Yoruba and Santeria practitioners about Lemonade's Oshun imagery. Its strength is that it carries the tradition's own documented voice, on the record and by name, which is exactly what this atlas most wants for a media representation entry. Its limit is that two named individuals are not a survey of the whole faith, and the piece itself frames them as a sample of a wider and more varied reaction, not as its final word.

Reliability Tier
2
Reliability tier 2: a named culture writer publishing a signed feature on Remezcla, an established culture and identity outlet with editorial staff, one step below an academic or newswire source.
Notes
Published April 28, 2016. Read directly. Quotes Ynanna Djehuty, an Afro-Dominican doula and blogger, on recognizing Oshun as "both beautiful goddess and scorned hateful woman" rather than reduced to sweetness alone, and Maximiliano Goiz, an initiated Lucumi priest of thirteen years, calling the imagery an "allusion" that connected to his own Cuban roots and noting Beyonce performed no sacred ceremony and wore no religious adornment on screen. Also notes Christian opposition to the imagery from within the broader Black church community.
