Koestler Parapsychology Unit, History

This is the Koestler Parapsychology Unit's own published history of itself, hosted by the University of Edinburgh, where the unit is based as an academic research group studying claims of psychic ability under controlled conditions. As the unit's own account it is the correct source for its founding, funding and stated research program in its own words. Its limit is that it is an institutional self-account rather than independent analysis of the unit's own findings or of parapsychology as a field, so a claim about whether the unit's specific experimental results have held up under independent scrutiny needs a source outside the unit itself, examining its published research rather than its account of its own history.
