The National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland's own safeguarding practice review of the Christian Brothers Congregation. The Congregation published child protection policies and procedures as Keeping Children Safe in 2009, updated in 2010 as Keeping Children Safe: Safeguarding Children, established a Safeguarding Management Committee in 2011, and issued a further revision, Keeping Children Safe: Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, in 2013. The Congregation was also party to the 2002 negotiations that established Ireland's Residential Institutions Redress Board.
