Niceta of Remesiana: His Life and Works, Andrew Ewbank Burn's 1905 study from Cambridge University Press, is a scholarly examination of the fourth century bishop credited by some scholars with authorship of the Te Deum. Its strength is that it remains a standard reference assembling the fragmentary evidence for a relatively obscure early Christian figure. Its limit is its age, well over a century; later patristic scholarship has continued to debate the Te Deum attribution, so a claim resting on that specific authorship question should be checked against more recent scholarship as well.

Reliability Tier2
Andrew Ewbank Burn's Niceta of Remesiana: His Life and Works, Cambridge University Press, 1905, the middle tier reflecting a standard reference assembling the fragmentary evidence for a relatively obscure early Christian figure, weighed against its age, well over a century, so a claim resting on the Te Deum authorship question should be checked against more recent patristic scholarship as well. NotesScholarly study of the life and works of Niceta of Remesiana, Cambridge University Press, 1905.
