Horace Lunt's grammar is now in its seventh revised edition, each revision incorporating decades of further Slavic philological scholarship, and it is cited here specifically for the sound values, alphabet order and numeral series of the Early Cyrillic letters, a checkable linguistic claim rather than a general history of the Slavic churches. That sustained revision across seven editions is real, documented evidence of the grammar's continuing standing in the field. This record has not independently traced further scholarly disagreement with Lunt's specific readings since this edition. Use it for the linguistic content of Old Church Slavonic and Early Cyrillic; it is not a source on the history of Slavic Christianity itself, which needs a dedicated historical source.
