Published 23 May 2022. States the Church of Scotland's General Assembly voted 274 to 136 to change church law so that a minister or deacon may apply to become an authorised celebrant for a same-sex marriage, no one required to be involved in solemnising or arranging one who does not wish to be. Quotes the Reverend Craig Dobney on the significance of the change for same-sex couples in the church's congregations previously unable to marry in their home church.
