Process and Reality: An Essay in Cosmology

Alfred North Whitehead's Process and Reality is a primary philosophical text, the foundational work of process philosophy, laying out Whitehead's own metaphysical system in which reality consists of ongoing events and relations rather than fixed substances, a framework that has substantially influenced process theology's account of a God who is likewise dynamically related to the world rather than static and impassible. As Whitehead's own difficult and technical original argument, it is the essential primary source for his system rather than a secondary summary of it.
