Report on a Series of Sittings with Eusapia Palladino

This is Everard Feilding, W. W. Baggally and Hereward Carrington's Report on a Series of Sittings with Eusapia Palladino, published in the Proceedings of the Society for Psychical Research in 1909, describing their 1908 investigation of the Neapolitan medium in Naples. Its strength is that it is a firsthand peer-reviewed investigative report by trained observers who judged some of what they witnessed not fully explicable by the trickery Palladino was independently known to use elsewhere. Its limit is that Palladino was documented cheating in numerous other sittings under less controlled conditions, and no phenomenon of this kind has ever been independently replicated under fully controlled modern conditions, so this report should be read as one disputed historical investigation, not as established evidence of a genuine paranormal effect.
