A. F. L. Beeston's Sabaic Grammar, University of Manchester, 1984, is a scholarly grammar. Its strength is that Beeston was among the leading Western specialists in the ancient South Arabian languages, and this remains a standard reference for Sabaic itself. Its limit is the ordinary one for a specialist linguistic reference: it is a technical grammar aimed at scholars of the language, not a general introduction to the culture that spoke it.
