Soka University's Own Standing Statement of the Soka School System's Combined Enrollment

Soka University's own "About the University" page, published on the university's own site, soka.ac.jp, is an organization primary source, the institution's own account of its founding and character. Its strength is direct institutional authority for its own founding history and stated mission, including its roots in Soka Gakkai Buddhist educational philosophy. Its limit is that it is a self account rather than an independent scholarly history of the university, which a reader wanting that outside perspective should seek separately.

Tier 2: the founding institution's own website, stating its own school system's current enrollment and founding history rather than an independently audited count. A standing self-description with no publication date attached, not a one-time voluntary announcement.
Notes
Soka University's own website, read directly, stating in its founder history section: "At the time of this writing, the combined enrollment of the Soka School System stands at 14,000, 8,700 students in Soka University's undergraduate and graduate programs, Soka Women's College, the Soka Junior and Senior High Schools in the Tokyo and Kansai area, along with 5,200 pupils attending the Soka Elementary Schools in Tokyo and Kansai, and the Sapporo Soka Kindergarten. In addition, 17,000 men and women are now enrolled in Soka University's Division of Correspondence Education, raising the total to 31,000." Also states the university was founded in 1971 by Daisaku Ikeda, third president of Soka Gakkai, "actualizing the goals and ideals of Soka education." The page carries no publication date; the figures are the university's own current standing statement rather than a dated annual statistic. Classed own-published-statistics: the founding institution's own account of its school system's size.
