Alan Watts's final book, published posthumously in 1975 by Pantheon Books in New York, written with the Chinese brush-painting and t'ai chi teacher Chungliang Al Huang, who completed the manuscript's closing chapter after Watts's death in 1973. It is Watts's most sustained single treatment of Taoism, reading the Tao Te Ching and the Chuang Tzu through the recurring image of water finding its own course.
