The Dawkins Delusion? Atheist Fundamentalism and the Denial of the Divine is a 2007 book by the Oxford trained biochemist turned theologian Alister McGrath, written with the psychologist Joanna Collicutt McGrath, responding directly to Richard Dawkins's The God Delusion. It argues that Dawkins's own certainty about religion amounts to a dogmatic conviction of the same kind he accuses religion of, and proposes partially overlapping magisteria, the view that science and religion address different domains that occasionally intersect, against Dawkins's conflict model of the two. It is cited here as a substantial, named theological response representative of the criticism The God Delusion drew for its central method.
