Unitarian Universalist Association Congregational Certification Statistics, 2024

This is the Unitarian Universalist Association's own annual accounting of its member congregations and their reported membership, compiled and published by the association itself rather than by an outside auditor, a fact this record states plainly. It is the best available source for the association's own current numbers because congregations report their figures directly to it under the association's bylaws, but it counts only congregations formally affiliated with the association in the United States, and it depends on each congregation's own reporting rather than independent verification, so an over-reporting or under-reporting congregation is not caught by any outside check described here. This record has not independently audited any individual congregation's reported count. Use it for the association's own current membership and congregation totals; use David Robinson's independent history for the two predecessor denominations that merged to form it and for a non-denominational scholarly account of Unitarian and Universalist history before 1961.
