States the temple was built in 1905 by Kutchi Jain traders settled in Zanzibar and is, in the page's own hedged words, "believed to have" the first Jain derasar outside India, with the first murtis ever consecrated outside India, Parsvanath, Shantinath and Mahaveerswami; and that those murtis were relocated to Nairobi in 1964 during the Zanzibar Revolution. Corroborated on the "first outside India" claim, without a year, by the Institute of Jainology's own page on the temple's 2009 rededication.
