The Right Angle Cross of Rulership is named for Gate 26 and Gate 45. Its first article reads Gate 26 as a willed salesmanship that can market and, unchecked, exaggerate, and Gate 45 as the voice that holds and distributes a group's resources. What it does not trace is where the four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this cross draws one gate from each of the four.
Gate 26, the personality gate, falls in the Quarter of Mutation, purpose fulfilled through transformation. Gate 45, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Civilization, purpose fulfilled through form. Behind them, Gate 47 falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding, and Gate 22 falls in the Quarter of Initiation, purpose fulfilled through mind.
So the persuading will and the gathered voice the first article reads on this cross's surface answer to the arcs of transformation and form, while the unresolved mind and the conditional grace beneath them answer to the arcs of bonding and mind, the same four arcs the rest of the Rulership family draws on however its two pairs are assigned to personality and design. Mirrored, reversed or exchanged, every role arrangement of Rulership's two gate pairs shares this same wheel wide spread, one gate from each Quarter regardless of order.
