The Right Angle Cross of Rulership completes its four role arrangements with this ordering, Gate 47 and Gate 22 exposed. Its first article reads Gate 47 as a mind working over confusion until sense finally arrives of itself, and Gate 22 as a social grace that flows or withdraws with the emotional wave rather than on demand. What it does not trace is where the four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this cross draws one gate from each of the four.
Gate 47, the personality gate here, falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding. Gate 22, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Initiation, purpose fulfilled through mind. Behind them, Gate 45 falls in the Quarter of Civilization, purpose fulfilled through form, and Gate 26 falls in the Quarter of Mutation, purpose fulfilled through transformation.
So the confusion worked toward sense and the mood answering grace the first article reads on this ordering's surface answer to the arcs of bonding and mind, while the gathering voice and the persuading will beneath them answer to the arcs of form and transformation, the same four arcs the rest of the Rulership family draws on however its two pairs are assigned to personality and design. With this fourth arrangement in place, every role rotation of Rulership's two gate pairs shares the same wheel wide spread, one gate from each Quarter regardless of order.
